Calgary beavers getting creative
Beaver artwork along the Bow River fish habitat adjacent to Quarry Park.

Heck yeah.
Gotta love the Blue nose ring in the North and the scrap steel piling with boulders on it in the West.

Reminds me of something I saw as a kid on the farm. A beaver decided to take down a fence post and chewed it off below the bottom wire. Of course the post stayed upright, held in place by the wires. The next day he came back and chewed it off just above the bottom wire. And every thing is still hanging there from the wires. I can just image what the poor beaver is thinking about these strange trees that won't fall over. Most have tasted really good too... it was the creosote treated posts.

That’s amazing, I’ve never seen a beaver do that.

He probably got a hold of some free drugs in the river valley…

Beavers made me a custom bench on shore so I can sit and enjoy the lake!
Creative buggers they are.

It’s pretty neat to see things like this in nature. The world is a pretty cool place once you get off the beaten trail a bit.
Thanks for the pic!
