I wonder what would happen if a guy downsized in cartridge while still using these "Crazy explosive" bullets. I wonder if that would allow for outstanding killing and tissue damage, while also allowing for all sorts of other upsides. (Increased hit percentages, lower recoil, spotting impacts, etc.)

Naw, that's just crazy talk.

Here's an elk scapula. (Not my photo)

Looks armour-plated to me. Makes sense that these ELDX/ELDM type bullets bounce off.

They’re about the worst I have seen. Many years ago I shot a mediocre muley buck in the ribs with a 55 gr varmint bullet out of my 22-250 (it’s legal here) and it performed a lot better than those power points out of my buddy’s 338. I’m a big fan of partitions, bondeds, and for the past seven or eight years I have been using TTSX and better yet LRX monos.

The Power Points I have seen used in a couple of 308's that friend's of mine have work well on deer, personally speaking, I have never shot them and have no need to.
