Anyone have any history on Lakewood airtight stoves. Really good friends in the kooteneys gave us one for a new cabin. Looks really neat has dampeners like a fisher stove dont care about value just kinda a history about them. 15 wide 20 tall an 26 deep has a bird with a long beak cast into the door
I believe that model is a cottager, oval flue out the back would confim. Seen a few around, one fella who had one in his shop swapped it out as he didnt like the size of the doors, limited size of blocks to put in. He was always a picky fella though. He seen my free flow wood stove and swapped to one of those as it has a large door and can accomodate 27" logs in the wood box. Should be plenty for a trap shack if can control the air so not cooking oneself out overnight.
My thought also are that door is too small. Lots of guys complain they cannot get through night without stoking fire. Larger fire box and door allow for whole blocks that seem to hold steady fire for entire night with good damper.
Yes oval flue in the back which he closed off an put a top 6 on. Thanks where were they made? Going in a 16-20 log cabin should be perfect I am thinking.
