If this turns into a Rant about our government, just take it down!
I've held off writing as long as I can. Dont fly after surgery!! In the old days people arriving at Heathrow would walk about 50 yards and drop dead from a stroke. (Deep occult thromboembolism), so don't you fly, lets ee if we can find a way to have the surgery here at home.
Make an appointment with your surgeon that did your other knee;
Can you go NOW for the operation, if yes get on his list. The list doesn't work like you may think, people ahead of you, say no when offered a day, the die, they get sick with somethingelse. etc. If you can go anytime and are a good candidate this may work for you.
Plan B; ask if he/she has a colleague in another province who he can refer you to. If yes this may work for you.
Don't risk a disaster for elective surgery. Let us know how this works out.
