Default Lac Ste. Anne

Which boat launch do you find best at Lac Ste Anne? I've found every year seems to vary with ice pushing concrete around.

How the water quality this week? Looking to get out again and haven't been since last year. I know the water can get pretty nasty.

Was out there two weeks ago. Water was still really clear, very little algae and weed growth wasn't nuts like some years. We didn't use a launch 2 weeks ago but earlier used the one we usually do at Corsair. It was fine but parking is limited, which doesn't affect us because we take the empty trailer to Ross Haven and store the boat on a lift after launching for the season.

I was out there Monday and launched at West Cove. water is low and the launch is very shallow and weedy. main lake was super soupy, lots of algae on the surface.

Caught 30+ <12" walleye and half as many small pike. Trying to fill a couple Class A tags but had no luck.

Its a cash grab for the government for those walleye tags and the walleye are safe because its very hard to launch in that lake . Go figure !

Thanks for the info. Doesn't get me too excited to run over there for sure. Fall time, like October might be a better time for a class A. Have you tried later in the season there?

Spring is Best for A class in my opinion.
Fall during or after the turn over tends to be the worst time, again in my opinion. This is when they do the Fall index netting because the fish spread out everywhere.

Thanks, I appreciate the info. If I decide to beat myself in the fall there I will still report back. At least I could get some mapping done for winter fishing

We got my wife's Class A pair in June, and a pair of B's. had a great day fishing. 20+ fish, all around the 50cm mark. water was much cleaner though.

I'm brand new to 'Berta fishing, so only been to Lac Ste Anne three times
