Default Where can a guy find parts for his 870 Wingmaster

Recently a friend of mine had his 870 quit on him. He's had it since since he was 13 and his dad gave it to him. Its one of the good ones, I think his is made sometime in the 80-90s. Unfortunately we haven't been able to find any parts for it to repair it. It may be a long shot but I was wondering if anyone knew of a place to get parts. It would be awesome to get that piece of history droppin birds again. Thanks for your time

I believe its not cycling shells anymore. Something internal, either its not getting a shell to load or its not loading it

Like all auto ,they need to be cleaned and oil.
At this points it sounds like he does not know what parts he even needs . Best is to take it to a gun smith get it fixed right so its a safe in the field and it will work when it should .

Sounds like the timing cuts on the forend tube assembly are not engaging the left and right side action bars allowing a round to pop out of the magazine tube onto the carrier. OR the magazine tube spring has failed or the magazine follower is not in there. Had a waterfowl hunter last year have similar issues with a used 870 he bought. Was the magazine spring. If it’s a stock magazine the spring should be between 19-22”.

There is a left and right shell latch. Often a small tab on the left on gets broken and causes feeding issues .

The latches are slightly curved spring and are crimped to the side of the receiver .
If they fall out upon disassemble they can be difficult to get the trigger group back in without have them crimped back in which requires a special tool. I have seem guys straighten them out to get them in and that’s causes feeding issues
