Yup, this is the way...
Unless I'm cheap... turning the draw weight down on the bow also "stiffens" the arrow. Actually no, the arrow doesn't get "stiffer" the force being applied to the arrow is lessened. Basically, the arrow is "stiffer" because it isn't being pushed as hard.
A true arrow with less force is better than a crooked arrow heaved mightily.
