Default Powderface Trail

Can someone please tell me when the Powderface Trail opens?
May 1st or 15th? I get both when I try to google it and I really don't want to run all the way out there from Calgary just to check.
Lazy, I know!
Thanks
Roger

Call the Elbow Valley KCountry District

https://www.albertaparks.ca/parks/ka...mation-centre/

Remember Highway 66 is closed long before you would get to the south end of the Powderface Trail.

Can you drive on Powderface Trail?
Is the Powderface Trail open? Located in the heart of Rocky Mountains, drive with care as this is a mountain road topping out at 1.854m (6,082ft) above the sea level. It's one of the highest roads of the country. It's closed from 1st December to May 15th, weather permitting.

So, it was repaired after the flood ?

A beautiful road, not for the faint of heart as I remember.

In my experience you'll see almost as many minivans and Toyota Camrys as you will actual offroad worthy vehicles, especially on summer weekends.

As long as it's dry, it's a fairly easy drive.

It is definitely beautiful though.
