Default What's the cost of a new driveway, sidewalk, garage pad

Hey guys. Anyone out there who has done a driveway, sidewalk, and garage pad replacement recently or is maybe in the business?

I'm thinking of buying this place but the driveway, walks, and garage pad are gonna need replacing. So, I'm trying to figure out a realistic figure.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Last year guys were at $12-$14/ sqft with removal. Broomed finish.
Google earth will help you measure all fairly accurately.

Just chiming in, seems accurate. Was paying 8-10 per sq ft for labour, gravel, concrete, rebar, and install last year on new build. Have quotes for about the same for some landscape concrete in yard this year. Could see adding about that amount for removal. Only driveway I removed was 5 years ago, paid $1000 for 600 sq ft of concrete

Had some concrete work done in backyard (new stamped 16x22 patio) and had the guy quote a very similar project - remove cracked front driveway (similar to yours but maybe a bit longer) and about 12'-15' feet of the walk way (8 feet wide) going though the gate to the backyard to meet up with the new concrete. Thinking of doing it this summer maybe.

That project was roughly 750ft2 in total IIRC and for removal and re-pour was just under $10,000 (included a contingency for a couple loads of crush if needed).

That was the only quote I got, but seems in line with above estimates.

They said 1 day to break up, remove and haul away old concrete

A day to add 3/4" crush (if needed) tamp and prepare base

A half day to form and half day to pour and finish.

So 3 days.

The guys I’ve used charge approx 3.00/ sqft for removal. Smash and haul. So 12-14/sqft all in is definetly in the ball park. Will be a rush out of the gate come may so things are likely booking up pretty quick.
