Mcbain Camera location on 107 ave used to take trades or buy used stuff and resell. I think they also had consignment stuff.

Check with them.

Contact Bob Todrick in McBain's HQ store in Edmonton. He'll take care of you.

Is there a reason you want a Pen 4/3 camera? You have legacy lenses?

Bit of a heads up, the memory cards for the early Olympus digitals are proprietary and are diffiult or expensive to obtain.

Yes there is, I like the small form factor being pocketable. Possibly adding lenses but not that important. Camera can be bought for around 200.00.
I am basically looking for a good small camera that will take nice pictures and mostly on auto mode or p. I’m really not a good photographer.
If any body has better suggestions please let me know.

Why an Olympus ? There are lots of other options out there that fit your bill. My carry camera, actually prefer it over my Canon EOS for travelling.

Why not just use your phone some of the new cameras now have to be better than those older ones

The small camera issue is what I'm looking for a solution for as well.

I had a Sony Cyber shoot that would fit in my chest pocket, I used it for fishing, hunting, etc. To me it was the best camera in the world, because it was always with me, easy to use and big Zoom. BUT a lens motor died and i have not been able to find a new replacement.

McBain BOB any suggestions? New old stock Cyber shoot maybe.

I tried a Sony VX-1 for this summer and fall but its too heavy and too big and too complicated.

The best idea I have come up with is a good phone camera, but I'm up against size and non pocketablity issues there. I could close the breast pocket over the Sony but cant do that with a phone.

I shoot an Olympus OM-D EM1 Mark II and love it, but it is not a small pocket camera. I got mine from Vistek in Edmonton.

35 re; carry phone, my phone is an old POS, my little Sony had a Zeiss lens , I could and did use the Max. image size, enter it in a edit program and get very respectable printable images out of it.

There are some used for sale on eBay and Amazon, thinking of that route.

A new iPhone is up to $1600 or more and big, and yes I know phone cameras have become very close to what I had in the old Sony.

Hi Grizz, the reason for thinking about Olympus P's is that the very much pocketable with the option of lenses if I ever wanted. But pocket size is what I want for just walking around and such.I am really looking for a point and shoot.

I suggest you keep your eyes open for a used Olympus Tough TG-5, TG-6, or TG-7.
Very 'pocketable', great wide angle to fair zoom. Does well on AUTO, or gives lots of different scene options. Terrific 'microscope' macro setting too. Lives up to it's 'Tough' name - survives drops and rough stuff. Best of all is that it's intuitive to use - you don't need to fiddle around with everything - can be a true 'point & shoot'. They are totally waterproof as well - great for snorkelling or 'fish-in-water' shots - although the warranty says you should send it in for regular waterproof service, I never have and mine has remained waterproof for 15 years.

They show up lightly used on FaceBook Marketplace, Kijiji, local buy & sells and some on-line camera forums now and again. Good luck!
