I'm looking at getting some decent rain gear for backpack hunting and hiking. I've good things about the kuiu gear but the stone stuff is a similar price and weight but there doesnt seem to be much reviews on it. I'd like the rain gear to be fairly durable. Does anyone here have experience with either of these rain gear sets or others to consider?
Elk hunter magazine did a big review on rain gear and thr Chugach came out as #1. This was a few years ago tho. Rokslide does a bunch of reviews and you might be served well by taking a look.
I have chugach jacket and looks good quality. I am heading to hike in rain for 7 days on west coast trail in 2wks so will be good test. I have been using the kutana Kuiu pants for biking to work in rain and they are great. I use rokslide forum for a lot of reviews
I have the katana storm rain gear and it works well
They have been good to me
Pretty durable and light weight
Im getting mine ready for alaska next weekend
I haven’t tried the stone glacier rain gear
Had their down pants and jacket and left it for my guide in turkey for his tip
Used the gale force on my polar bear hunt and it kept me warm and dry
