Hello, I have to admit, I put a search for curling and this thread topped the list so here I will post.
There isn't a welcome page here so that's why I just started posting and General is the best spot I suppose.
I like long walks on the beach at moonlight, a hot cup of tea anywhere yadda yadda yadda...
Just watching some Hurry Hard on TSN ATM(my guilty pleasure). I do hunt and fish but don't discuss it because I am a possessor of 'the card'.
Spent 22 of my best years in service to this fine nation, primarily splicing WD1 and such. My Evil Half has the same amount of time in as well as TI with the RN (notice the lack of C). Both retired and living large in this fine province.
I originate from a little town called Bonnyrigg which requires a puddlejump to visit. Grew up on the Left Coast and due to the needs of my employer lived all over Canada.
I decided moving is for the birds, Edmonton became my last post due to zero desire to return to the province I lost my regiment. I suppose I may slowly migrate west, but now it's on my terms in my time.
Anyhoo, just thought I should say "Hi!"
Did I ever mention I don't feel important enough to start threads? Please bear with me, I'm no necrophiliac, but I'm very likely to necro post for that very reason.

I use to sit with my father in law at the Calgary Easter gun shows….holy crap the stories but as long as they were buying we would listen.

Worked with a guy who was a karate 2nd black belt, standing 10 feet apart, he couldn't catch a wrench tossed slowly to him. His dad was a drill Sargent in the marines and owned his own leer jet, last years model. He took time off to arrange his friends funeral, he was the executer of the will so he said, it was a Viking burning boat funeral at Shuswap lake. He also doubled for David Niven in the skiing sequence in the Pink Panther movie. this guy was about 5' 1'' tall.
Heard he's in Calgary now.
