I am having a bi*** of a time tuning my bowtec carbon icon.
If my arrow is square to my string (adjusted with both 2 levels and a quaure that both agree with each other and level with berger? Line)
I make huge vertical tears through paper at 4 feet. Sprayed Powder on fetching and it's not hitting the drop away.
Basically when I get it making bullet holes through paper and sighted in the arrow is pointing way low and right in the rest. Right handed bow shooting probably 60 #right now (20 foot range)
Timing is dead Center of marks, properly spined arrows
Forget the timing marks and you need to see what is happening on a draw board. Also every Bowtech I have tuned has the bottom of the arrow splitting the berger hole in half.
I don't think you want to hear this but some Carbon Icons have had issues with the risers warping. Take a real good look at the riser...Mr. Google has lots more info on this.
first and foremost it sounds like a timing issue. I would agree with above. dont look at the timing marks. you have to get the thing on a draw board and actually look to see when the draw stops hit. When they hit at the same time, you are in time. This should help clean up your vertical tear.
