Default Where to shoot a slingshot legally

Hi all, I would like to know where can one practice outdoor target shooting or even try hunt non license small game LEGALLY around Calgary. I thought this was a simple thing to do but after a lot of research looks like it is not that easy and I don’t want a ticket for just using a slingshot.
Thank you.

Im not sure about the Calgary bylaws but make sure you stay out of the provincial and national parks, slingshots are considered to be firearms according to their definitions. Many counties also consider slingshots to be weapons and can not be discharged on public lands but are ok on private property.

I used to practice with my slingshot in the basement - target pasted to a couple of layers of hard foam. Same with my pellet guns. I even shot my recurve in the basement. No one but my X was the wiser.

Currently dont have a basement, but in my condo I still have almost 15 yards of runway to play with - still haven't broken the bathroom mirror.

Heck, the basement makes sense ...... had a Polish kid in junior high with me that thought it would be a good idea to shoot his dads 303 in the basement. Pretty sure he got a pretty good lickin' for that one !!!
