Default 100 days wild show

For the life of me I will never understand why networks do this. A show that might have potential is scripted with drama, phony danger scenarios , acted out by a bunch of long hair grubby weekend bush people. I lasted about 5 minutes into this crap. Just give us the real deal, that’s what entertains us. Rant over!

It’s getting tougher and tougher trying to find a show that isn’t this darn phoney, I’m really hating the “new Reality” shows...give me back Archie Bunker, Mash, Maxwell Smart secret agent 86, even Ed Sullivan was entertaining...yes I’m old, but these new shows are not anything like the real world..
I couldn’t watch it either, the wife even changed the channel before I could get to the remote...

Those shows aren’t for folks like us. They are for people that dream of even spending one night in “ the bush” but can’t put down their phone long enough to learn the actual skills to do it. So they watch the wannabes

I lost all interest when dude in the canoe flipped over...in the TV crews wake? BUT, people actually believe this crap is real? Discovery Channel is a BBC offshoot
I believe so you have to wonder what the good people of London, Glasgow, etc think when the watching BS programming like Alaskan Bush People. " Ello. Blokes wearing a thin leather jacket in -40." "Blimey."

The only one of the Discovery Alaskan shows worth watching was The Last Alaskans and of course its off the air now. I could just watch Heimo Korth and his wife doing their thing for an hour each week no problem.

That was a very good show, and that is not an easy life.

There is a book out there about Heimo that was an interesting read.

Watched first show this Sunday. I could not believe they actually shot a moose. Otherwise it was game over as they would All need to go back to the Alaskan Safeway for grub. Agree Last Alaskans was best real life show, some of the origional Mountain Men like Tom Orr and Marty were worth watching.

Well blame it on the viewers. Leonardo Dicaprio received an award for Revenant, these yuppies eat it up. Best thing you can do if you dont like it is make your own entertainment and go hunting, fishing, scouting, and exploring. Time well spent

Alone is probably my favorite show, and prior to that would have been the original survivorman.

I am sad to admit i've been watching this 100 days show, mostly out of boredom, and that idiot running around in buckskin trying to trap beavers is just pathetic.

I've read what I can find about him on the net. Pretty cool guy. The story of he and his wife losing their little girl and never being able to find her body was terrible. Tough, tough people. Love to sit down and have a coffee with the man. Learn more in an hour than you could from most folks in a year.

I couldn't even get through the commercial preview of that dumpster fire of a show.
it is really insulting to people who actually can live in the bush.....

The only way it could have been worse is if Bear Grylls was part of it...

I chanced upon the show while channel surfing, just as a guy caught a lake trout,,, cleaned it, filted it and threw away very high energy parts. He could have made soup from the head, he could have kept his fat stores up by keeping the skin on and lightly cooking it, as well as the liver and heart. But nope, he poorly, wastefully filted the fish.

Never watched the show again.
