Default Nosler Premium

Bagged a nice calf moose on the weekend - 30 cal, 180 accubond performed perfectly. Not through and through, but it did its job.

That's about as good a bullet performance as you can hope for, nosler accubonds are great bullets

Have been using handloads for 30+ years, bought some Nosler factory to see what the hype was about.

Congrats on the moose. Jealous because one of my freezer deer turned out CWD +, and still awaiting results for the second deer.

Curious, what was the shot angle? Did it hit heavy bone (bone other than ribs)?

I love the 180gr Accubond in my 30.06, but would have expected a pass through on a broadside calf at that distance.

Mushroom looks awesome!

Default Almost square

Might have been off 90 by 20 degrees? Entered low on the chest, through vitals, bullet was in the opposite hide. No damaged ribs. Vitals were jellied.
A few years ago I took a nice bull with my 9.3x64 (270 gr Speer) it didn't pass through either.
I'm beginning to think moose are tough buggers.

300 win mag at that distance is like a 30-06 at 50 yards. That held together nicely for the velocity
