Default Rpal

Does anyone know how long it is taking to process new applications?
It has been 45 days and it doesn’t even show as in process or being received.
Just wondering how much longer it may be before it is in their system. That way there is hope it will eventually be processed.

With work slow downs due to the Covid crisis, that’s a mighty tough call.

I talked to someone at the Miramichi office today to try to find out what the status is on my application. According to the Miramichi office they are so backed up from Covid, they are just now starting to enter applications from the middle of May. It will take a long time for renewals or new application sent in by mail to be processed. If you have to renew anytime in the near future do it electronically or as far in advance as possible.

May have my RPAL for next years hunting season. I guess I shouldn't have tried to upgrade from my PAL with Covid going on.

My wife and I are in the same boat, upgrading our PAL to R-PALS....been 2 months and checking on our applications shows nothing.
I feel they are deliberately delaying the process to screw firearms owners...at the very least the seem to be doing nothing to clear the backlog.
