Default Thanks for the Help - Marcum Camera Measurement.

Hi ... I'm currently in Palm Springs for another couple of months and thinking of buying a Forstner Bit for my Milwaukee drill just to punch holes to drop the camera down for a look.

I have a Marcum 825C, would someone kindly advise what the width of the camera head is from fin to fin ?

Tks in advance.

David

Default 4.5"

My model is slightly different but the fin looks the same and measures 4.5".
I would use a 5" hole for cold days and a bit of freeze up.

Hi Zip-n-Z

Looks like 4 1/2" across and 4 1/2 long

5" should do it.

Measured from my 825C.

Tks fellas .... that solves the Q about buying a 3 1/2" Forstner Bit they don't make them that big, looks like I buy a 5" auger or give up the idea of something simple.

Appreciate the help/replies.

Cheers

David

Found this but it's $63.00 USD .... would need to weld on an extension but it's not worth it.

Found this 5" ice auger bit, blades look decent for $50.00 free shipping.

No rush to buy, maybe look for a used one, anyone got one 4 Sale?
