Pretty solid from what I’ve read. Keep an eye on the oil pan for leaks as ford now uses a plastic pan. Read about them having a tendency to leak. Sweet deal by the way! What model did you get? Congrats!

From what I've read, it's pretty good.
For what it's worth, won a Ward's 10 Best Engine Award in 2018.

My brother has one and his fuel mileage is unreal. I bought the 3.5l ecoboost soley on its towing ability...however, I'll never to need to pull 11,000 lbs..Next time around, I'm going with the 2.7l instead as fuel economy is more important to me than the ability to haul 11k with a 1/2 ton...

A friend has one, and he is getting very good fuel economy, and no issues so far, but he has only had it a couple of years.

Just don't expect too much from half an engine, the ecopoof 3.5's manage with twin turbos and you just lost the equivalent of another cylinder. I suggest joining some f150 forums prior to purchasing. I have a 2016 3.5 and like it but I'm always nervous. Google ecoboost catch cans.

Ha seems like most people don’t own a vehicle for longer than that anyways. Alot of folks have to have the latest and greatest...

The wife likes hers. Very good mileage. Good run around town car... I mean truck! And yes keep an eye on the oil pan. We had to have hers replaced due to leaks.

There’s no replacement for displacement I’ll never understand why anyone would buy a full sized truck with a half size engine

my 2017 3.5L had the oil pan leak. They have that rectified my using a silicone made for diesel engines. Other than that the truck has been awesome

No probs with mine . Big change from a 6.7 turbo diesel, but I like the new unit a lot.

At this rate, Fords next Ecoboost engine will be a 0.7L with 18 turbos running at 100 psi boost and at 12,000 rpm in an F-350.

And the discounts are usually greatest on the Supercabs, since they are the slower sellers.

I bought a new one a couple years ago. No problems with the 2.7, it's a good engine for a multipurpose truck.

Well they’ve always offered a v6 or straight 6 in an F150. I believe they even had a straight 6 in the F350 and larger trucks back in the day...
