Thats not nice. Theres a small chance that 1 of the 10 shots might hit a large person standing up at 400 yards...

Hmmmm.....well let’s see??
Mr YouTube Sniper hit a 48”x”48” steel plate 8 outta 10x.
So if my vitals are a standard size 16” x24....that’s 1/6 of 48 x48 x80%=.....hmmm,,,,carry the 1....plus 3.....x 0.8......yea I’d say he’s got about a 1 in 8 chance of hitting me in the torso and and might hit the wife’s 10” dinner plate 1 outta 20,I’d almost take that Russian Roullette bet, what do I win when he misses me...1 shot/winner take all? 🤔

I have couple of those cheap SKSs .
Believe me , at 400 yds 10 out 10 shots will hit a large person standing easily .
If you have any doubts about that PM me and I can demonstrate you that privately ..

To have them change the beneficiary form before the shooting commences.

This is the scope rail I ordered.

https://www.amazon.ca/Visionking-1-2...16L&ref=plSrch

This is the low power scope I got for it. I've been using it on my 22 while I'm putting my sks together and really like it. If I dont like it on the sks it'll just go back on the 22. I'm sure most people have wasted more money on dumber things then a $60 scope rail. I'm not trying to tacticool my sks, it's still got the wood stock and factory mag. A scope is just more practical and easier to use for me. Even if it does just stay on 1.25 power

Thanks! I was looking at the rail that Cabelas has, but it's twice the price for basically the same thing. Was that rail easy enough to install?

Maybe you could stop preaching unsafe shooting practice of daring someone to hold your target for you. Show us a video of you competently hitting an 18" gong at 400yards and stop wasting our time.

I’ve used the 308 scope(3x9) and it’s a decent scope, not not half as good as the Burris. My only other rifle I have is an old trusty SKS. I am really leaning towards using the old scope on it. I would get the Kodiak rail from cabelas and switch com using stripper clips to installing a tapco sks magazine. So since the 100$ for the new scope (with rings) is quite a steal, i think I can justify 140$ on a rail and magazine. Before I proceed I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with scoping an sks (holding zero, accuracy between 100-175 yards, ease of scoping). I know a lot of people are against “bubba-ing” an sks, but mine was already painted in snow camo by the previous owner, so it’s not like it’s a historical relic or anything. Just thought I would see if anyone else who has tried adding a rail system to their sks has any words of wisdom for me. Thanks.

Why try and polish a turd?

Matador full rail with a 1-4 Bushnell Banner Circle X, slip on rubber butt extension all on a Russian Tula.
The scope gives a quick one plane sight picture, the extension relieves the short stock fitting!
It isn't a sniper rifle but the scope allows me to make sure what im hunting with is legal...
Its just a semi auto 3030 to me.
LOL
