Default Alberta Hunting Info Tool

Hello

I have developed a FLASH tool that displays previous year Alberta hunting data in a graphical format instead of the tabular manner available from MyWildAlberta.com.

My goal was to develop something that allowed easier understanding of the data in order to assist in decisions of what draw or license would be best.

This display is currently available for viewing at: http://www.fndzinz.com/flashs/WMU_MAP_June7.html
This has the most current data for 2007 being used at present. Other years could be incorperated in the future.

Please offer any suggestions you can to help make this into a usefull tool for hunters in our province.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

Findal

Default nice job

this looks like it took a lot of time and effort. Nice format and very user freindly for accessing some good data. How long before you can punch in 2008 numbers?

This is a very nice tool, i like how its so easy. Its slow on my end but might be my computer. For the zooming in do i have to right click or is there an easier option like scrolling?

I'm not sure when the 2008 data will be released, but as soon as I can get it, then trasfer it into the proper format.

Enlarging the map is done with the slider near the top right. Same with text size is the + - near there. The map can be dragged and scrolled to see the area of interest. Right clicking and zooming in controls the whole things zoom factor.
You can also run it full screen to create a slightly larger version.

Thanks for the feedback.

I specifically like the option on how many hunters are populating the areas. I hunted 510 and gosh nearly like 2000 or so hunters there?!

Thanks Findal. That is a great tool you've made. I couldn't get the map to get any bigger that one size, I could zoom, but I couldn't get the map size on the monitor to change. Is it something I'm doing wrong?
Thanks again, I appreciate your time and talent used here.
