Professional advice......
....Pays off
Was fortunate enough to visit LOST Arrow on Monday, Neil pointed out a bad habit I had developed ( bow hand/wrist tension). Prior to this I was shooting 2-3 in groups at 50 yards and completely confident.
Pic number one was the first two shots since Monday, from 50 yards, no warmup.
Pic number two happened about 8 shots later. Looks like I'm gonna need more sight pins. this is getting expensive, but it sure is fun.

Fantastic shooting.
What's the rig and arrow set up? Did you come up with it without the professional advice?
You are definitely skilled in archery!
Thanks for the pics

I often say we are good shooters but with a little advice we can become great shooters.

2008 DXT, 60 lbs, axion 9 in stabilizer
Spot Hogg site with 010 pins
Carbon express blue streak select 250s/100gr tips
I've upgraded every component since the original purchase, slowly refining things as I learn.

Thanks, and yeah....drew a broadhead tipped arrow when I got home, guaranteed cut if you hadn't pointed it out. Must have just started that habit this spring or I would have lost some blood last year.
Again, thanks for everything.
Ill post up some pics of the APA once I get it sighted in. Work is always interfering with more important things.

0.010 sized pins are pretty small for hunting unless you use them in your longer distance pins (distance you wouldn't normally shoot in low light). I prefer 0.019 sized pins as a minimum for the better light gathering over the 0.010....BUT for target the smaller pins are where it is at!

Good point. 10/20 yards are .019, 30/40/50 are .010
Re: .019 i found they emit too much light and block out too much area on the target at distance. Kinda like staring into a flashlight.
my theory: if im hunting over a field, the shots will be longer but it stays light out right till the end of legal light so the smaller pins work better. In thick cover the shots are usually close so the bigger pins work for that. I have had them go dark early on cloudy days, so its a known trade off. Will try the 019s on the new bow at long distance, its been a few years since I switched. And it has a light, so if I go with .010 pins I can crank em up if necessary. Lots left to experiment with.
The actual advice I got was relax the bow hand/wrist completely (i was pointing my fingers toward the target, and they would have been in the way of a broadhead...yikes!) and let the grip be pulled into the correct spot.

You mean you did that with less than a brand new super fast bow at 80 lbs? Lol...
Not taking a shot at anybody, just reiterating how we all seem to joke that what works best is what works best...no formula
Again, great shooting.
You must be doing a whole lot else right if such a minor adjustment helps you like that. Must be satisfying (until you get to the check out with another dozen sticks)

3blade had near perfect shooting form..minor adjustments in the right place can be huge...
90% of shooters with a high left tear on paper is cause by grip and follow thru...bow arm should be straight but not locked anywhere ...elbow.. wrist and hand totally relaxed letting fingers drop...let the grip slide into place...another post I did with the silk like shooting gloves does this for you...
And follow thru is just as important...more important to shooting than most think..I instruct an exagerated follow thru...let bow fall forward after shot ...point string at target...in a actual hunting situation in the heat of the action ...follow thru may be only 1/5 of practiced...but at least there is follow thru...regardless of how long distance arrow should hit target before one grips bow after follow thru...
