Question Moose hunting in Strathcona county

Ok so last thread i made after reading made zero sense I apologize, and i have no idea how to delete it either but here is my revised question on moose hunting in Strathcona County.

Hello, I’m trying to understand the regulations regarding moose hunting in WMU 248, more specifically in the Strathcona county area north of Antler lake. This is the first year I am trying to hunt this area and I am having a hard time distinguishing what regulations pertain to the specific area I want to hunt. My main difficulty is the presence of the Special antlerless tag in the Strathcona county area located in WMU 248. My 2 questions with this are: 1- is this the only moose tag available to use in Strathcona county or can antlered moose be taken by bow and arrow with a general moose tag in the regular WMU 248 antlered season, and 2- Is the special Antlerless moose tag and weapon restrictions only limited to the area outlined by the county in the Strathcona county to have the weapon restrictions? (See the link provided for a map of this Special restriction area)
http://www.strathcona.ca/files/Files...lkFall2012.pdf
Any help with clarification would be greatly appreciated as I do not want to lose out on a great hunting opportunity because I don’t feel comfortable with my interpretation of the regulations.
Thanks,

I'll tackle your first question. Moose (both antlered and antlerless) are open for archery on a general moose tag from September 1 to November 30 in WMU 248. You can see it here:
http://www.albertaregulations.ca/hun...mu/wmu200.html
--scroll down to Moose, then look under the WMU column for 248. You'll see the archery season there. There is no little black square beside the date so that means it is open to a general tag (the little black square indicates that a Special License is required).

If you are a bow hunter then you don't need to worry about the special antlerless license. You can already hunt antlerless moose on a general tag with your bow in 248.

Default Strathcona County

You can only hunt cow moose with Shotgun-Slug in Strathcona County on a Draw tag.......

Not sure but any other guys here on the forum know how long it takes Approx, to be drawn on the cow moose in Strathcona County? I put in for it this year but for priority only (999)........

Cheers and happy hunting all, Dudes2010

I do not bother putting in because the draw (or weapon used) is not the major obstacle, permission (access) is and always will be.
