I don't think you can get vaccinated against Hanta virus. Only thing to do is wear a face mask where you could be exposed to Deer Mouse droppings. Nasty problem with a high mortality rate.

While you're at it, you might also want to lose sleep over West Nile, Noro Virus, CWD, Mad Cow, Bird Flu, Flesh Eating Disease, Legionaires Disease, or getting hit by lightning or meteorites.

I don't think there are any recorded cases of any of the above occuring inAlberta. :rollin Rabies, almost non existant in humans, but Hanta virus seems to crop up a couple of times a year, usually after someone cleans up some neglected corner, shed etc. It's probably the most common hazzard and the easiest to protect against. Sure beats the alternative.
