Alright... After the snowfall of 2010/11 I decided I hated shoveling snow EVERY day when I got home from work.
The lovely and kind wife bought me one for my birthday.
bought a 27" from home despot. great machine...
Brought it home... unloaded in and put the box in the garage.
Next day I assemble it and look at it lovingly in the garage.
A week later it snows! YAY! go out to garage, plug it in, pump the prime bulb and push the start button... digitdigitadigita-vroom!
open the garage door (before I nearly die of carbon monoxide poisoning)
and walk behind it up to the back yard. (rear detached garage)
OPen the gate and start going up to it.
Hmmm... this isn't gonna fit. about 6" too wide at the grips.
Put it back in the garage, cleaned it up, took it apart and took it back and bought a 22" that fits through the gate.
The 22" JUST fits through the gate at the front of the house.
Never even thought about gates.
Anyway... another piece of advice is make sure you get electric start.
Nothing like just pushing a button instead of yanking till your arm and shoulders ache.
Bruce.
