Regretfully if you get tired walking to DQ then the price of the hunt is not an issue.I have hunted sheep above tree line 6500 feet above sea level and higher, you need to get in shape first. The air is thinner the waking harded and of course the scenery cant be beat, but you need to be in shape to enjoy it.

$18 000 good luck! The going rate for a bighorn was that much 6 years ago. I think they are around $25 000 or more now.

$25,000 - $40,000 depending on who & where you go. Your chances at harvesting a ram in your current physical condition are very limited. Not impossible but very, very limited.

I just noticed you were from NWT Tundra. I guess in your area they are that much. I have always wanted to go and I guess I missed my chance 15 years ago when I could have gone on a cancellation hunt for $6000 and passed. You got any pictures of rams you have taken up there?

Hey Forest Walker,

I do have a few pics kicking around....if you're interested I'll have Wifey send them over and do a bit of a story on it. We leave on Aug 22 for this years adventure. I'm hunting with a guy that just moved up here..."Cold Redneck" from this site. We've got this lousy rule up here that makes him sit on his hands for 2 years till he can hunt big game We usually only take sheep on the trip because it's too tough to pack more animals out....this year turns into a mixed bag with mountain bou, grizz and sheep cause he's along as a mule I hear there's a few fannin in the area we are going so that would be kin to winning the lottery as far as I'm concerned

Gotta love $10 over the counter tags after reading all of the draw results from down there

If you have trouble walking to the Dairy Queen in sea level Florida, it's going to be tough to make it to the outhouse, at Sheep camp.

Unless you've been eating camp food for a couple days....then you'll beat an olympic sprinter.

I don't think that they were Canucks. A friend of mine guides for High Arctic Lodge and a couple of years ago clients of his told him that they had recently returned from Africa and would send him a copy of their hunt. That is the vid that they sent

My understanding is that it was a SA high fenced hunt......after that experience the PH decided that he would not be running those hunts anymore.

Thank you for the PM by the way....the vid did not work but that's OK

Hope all is well in Florida and keep away from the gators
