Question Pigeon Lake whitefish dying

Was at the beach today and saw at least 70 Whitefish washed up on shore or floating towards shore, even saw a burbot which i did not know were even in pigeon lake. How come it is basically only whitefishing dying off but none of the others like pike or walleyes? If it is low oxygen levels wouldn't that effect all species of fish?
