Alpine Model Sporter
My grandfather passed down a rifle to me called the Firearms Co. Alpine Model Sporter, which is a .270 WIN. Unfortunately, it did not come with a clip (and is somewhat slow to load because of this). I am wondering if anyone might be able to point me in the right direction to find a clip for this rifle. I have looked online, and have been unsuccessful thus far.

An Alpine with a clip style magazine?
Every one I ever saw had a hinged floor plate!
It may have a Parker Hale detachable magazine well fitted to it.

Ive owned several and all were hinged floorplate.
Can the OP post a picture of the "magazine well", without the bolt in the gun?
We can tell you if your gun has been altered and what you need to bring it back into repeater status.

That's a hinged floor plat magazine!
I may have one downstairs, but I'm sure western Gun Parts could help as well.

It turns out that Western Gun Parts does not carry the magazine for this rifle anymore. You said that you thought you may have a magazine for this rifle in the downstairs of your house. Are you open to the idea of selling it?
(I assume you have a perfectly operational rifle to go with it, but I figured there couldn't be any harm in askin')
If not, I think I might get it converted to a mauser action (recommended as an option by the people at Western Gun Parts)
Thanks for your help and huntinstuff's help again.

IIRC you can buy bottom metal for them from Tony at Tradeex.
I will check downstairs and see if I have something.
Not sure what they were talking about when they mentioned " Mauser", because it is a Mauser action!
Did they mean maybe an unhinged floor plate system?
of course, you can always get one of these from Tony as well!

I can't see the picture very well.
Seems to me the OP was talking about a missing "clip" which I assume he meant a removable magazine in which to store cartridges.
Then some are talking about a " hinged floor plate magazine" which is of course a part of the rifle to hold spare cartridges but is NOT removable with cartridges stored in it.
Which is it that this rifle has (or doesn't have but needs to have)?

The OP may have thought that the rifle originally had a detachable mag or "clip"' , but it clearly has a mag well that is designed for a hinged floor plate, this can be seen in the cuts at the front of the well and the back where the release would go.

Ye that is the way I understood it but It seemed that the OP may still not understand that.
To quote him:
If not, I think I might get it converted to a mauser action
I think he may not have a deep understanding about guns.

Which is a perfect reason to come on here and ask questions , so the mebbers can help him!
Nothing but GOOD can come from this thread, as opposed to some of the entertaining but nevertheless nonsense that we have seen here at times!

I looked up mauser action, and I think I understand a little bit about how it works vs. a standard bolt action. I think what the fella at Western Gun Parts meant was something along the lines of what you mentioned (unhinged floor plate system or something of the like).
The guy said that rifles like this one are being changed over due to the magazine rattling or loosening (I am not sure how common this problem is, but as far as I know my grandfather didn't have any issues with it).
I think I will take your advice and see if I can get a magazine from Tony at Tradeex there.
Thanks again. You have taught me quite a bit in just a few post.

Your rifle , BTW, has a action after which virtually EVERY modern cock on opening bolt action is style after!
The mauser '98 is one of the best actions that was ever designed, and is still to this day!
