Default Halloween

I hope all of the kids out there have a safe night and come home with a good haul.

We had around 18 kids so far.

No kids yet.
Doesn't look like theres any candy anyway, so I guess I'm giving out cash if it comes down to it.

At 44 kids, and gave the neighbor a box of candy that I don't think I will need, as he is almost out, and I still have enough left .

We got about 30 here. Our toddler had a blast handing out candy after trick or treating while I watched the football game and raided her stash. LOL.

It's a wrap 44 final talley, next door neighbor had a huge display, and had 81. With what I gave him, neither of us ran out of candy.

Total of 5-1 up from last year. At this rate we could hit 10 in 2030

Default Halloween

We just shut off the lights and pulled down the decorations and tucked everything in the garage to dry. We had 108 this year, up from 80 last year but still a far cry from the 200+ we used to get 20-25 years ago. There were some truly great costumes.

we had 25 and few costumes. Most young teenagers in normal clothes with a mask or the bare minimum....made the real lazy ones do a dance haha.
Definitely a far cry from the hundreds of kids out and about when I was a kid. Remember filling multiple pillow cases easily in one night there were so many houses handing out candy. I don't think thats the case anymore. As a bonus I now have a pile of candy to put in my own lunches for the next month

About 140 here. Still a few stranglers haven’t turned out the lights yet. Still have enough full size candy bars for 60 kids. Last year we had more about 180 and ran out so shut the lights out, so we bought for 200 this year. Looks like the next kids that show up are gonna score big.

Default Ukrainian Halloween

I follow the Old World Calendar.

You know, like Ukrainian Christmas?

So on November 13th I will put out the decorations, and wait at the door.

All that cheap Halloween candy I am buying tomorrow will be waiting for the Trick or Treaters!!

But I am, afraid that like every year, I will not give out one single chocolate bar, and will have to eat it all myself.

Lets wait and see!!

Drewski

60 kids.
Pretty much the average for the last few years.
By brother, who lives 12 blocks away, had just over 700.
I couldn't even imagine.
If I were a kid I'd rather go to my block though. Fewer kids, so several houses handing out full-size chocolate bars, ours included.
It's funny listening to the kids coming up the sidewalk. "Hey, it's the Minion house! This guy gives full-size chocolate bars!"
I still remember the houses that gave F/S chocolate bars, 35 years later.
Oh to be a kid again...

we are on the inside turn of the crescent, and th esidewalk is on the other side, so we get very few kids most years.

We had 12 Trick-or-Treaters, 11 kids and 1 dog.
The kids were great, but they couldn't match the dog's excitement at getting treats at the door.

Smile The end of an era I guess

We live a rural area, and at the end of a long cul de sac. Two groups of 4 kids, no little ones, and that was it. Well times change.
