The end cap of my fly rod has come off. Any idea as to what’s the best glue to to stick it back on? I don’t want to send it all the way down to Orvis for something like this.

For me what I would use is an epoxy type glue. Clean off the old glue from the rod seat and make sure it is clean. Mix the epoxy and apply it to the rod and the end cap. Clean up the excess glue and let it sit till it is dry. Would use a glue that has some set up time, just in case you have to move the seat till it is sitting perfectly. Also may want to use some masking tape to make sure it does not move till it has dried.

To add:
Use pipe tape wrapped at the metal wood joint to make sure epoxy doesn't migrate onto wood. Los of masking tape as well.
Epoxy type doesn't matter.
My only question for you would be what model of Orvis Rod and what guarantee did it come with? the reason I ask, is that the cost of repair/warranty is built in to the price of the Orvis rod.
I have a number of Orvis rods with 25 year warranties that have had issues and have sent them for repair and more often than not, they will just send you a new rod, unless you specify you want the old one back.
Have you tried some thing simple like crazy glue ,wood glue or epoxy .If its metal to some type of plastic it should work fine .
Or you can always take it to the Reel Doctor
I used a 24 hr epoxy. I guess I should have sent it in to Orvis. I might have gotten a new rod. Last time I had a rod break, they just sent me a new one.
