Default Cheap tumbler

I searched and searched for a cheap way to get into stainless pin tumbling. I came across the mini rotary tumbler RT04 3kg capacity. I bought it a couple years ago knowing it could not work but took the chance. It’s been great all this time. A few thousand cases tumbled and still going strong. I did have to buy the pins separate. One mod I had to do was to heat up a threaded bolt and press the bolt threads into the plastic rim that rides on the roller. The roller has teeth and with the teeth having something to grab onto now instead of a smooth rim the tumbler works like a charm. Just thought I spread the news.

I’ve found pins for $6.50 per pound. Most likely US prices. I ended up buying 5 lbs and selling half.

Where did you end up getting the pins? I've been meaning to start experimenting with ss pin tumbling.
