Daughters first deer!
Was out today with my daughter, my dad (79 years old) and a couple friends. Was a great day and ended up with her makng a perfect shot on a nice buck at 185 yards. She was super excited and won't forget this day for a long time.
We saw the deer at 400 yards and were able to use the terrain and cover to close the distance and got her settled in on the bipod, leaning up against me as we sat on the ground. She took her time and made a fantastic shot that put him down in his tracks.
She was on such a high I think she floated over to the buck after the shot!! Lol
She was vibrating and talking a mile a minute! Always wondered how she would react after taking her first animal but there was only smiles!! Got a couple pictures and then the iPhone died in the cold... Damn! Hiked out and got the truck and drove back in, got some pics and loaded him up.
Took her over and thanked the landowner and headed for home.
Special thanks to my dad (Grampa) for letting her use his tag as a Youth partner!! Makes for awesome memories!!

He was a young deer! Was really surprised when we saw the size of his body up close and he had perfect teeth. I'd guess 3 1/2 years old. Would have been a GIANT, but in her eyes he's a 220" non typical monster!! Lol
Gotta say I'm pretty proud. :-)
