Some nice animals taken this year, with this fresh snow how many die hards are sitting in trees or blinds? I’m hoping to get out a bit more before the season is over.

A friend made his first ever archery kill yesterday at around 3PM. This was in the Edmonton bow zone, he said he was only out 30 minutes, and the deer activity was more than he has seen this year. He said he just pulled in to park, and before he got out of the truck a 5x5 whitetail walked by within 20 yards of the truck. He sent me a picture of the buck, as his phone was handy. He walked in to his ground stand, and a 3x2 whitetail walked by broadside at 20yards, he released the arrow and the deer was down within 50 yards.

Awesome!

I hope some more of us follow suit. We have some great creative writing potential here on AO that is definitely worthy of print.

Default Congrats

Congrats to everyone on some great harvests, and that is really cool about the magazine article.

All I managed to get this year with my bow was a coyote, but had lots of fun trying.
