Default Archery Bird hunting in Calgary City Limits?

Hi, here is a question for you guys (I did not find the answer in the regs), maybe someone has investigated this:

scenario 1:
A guy has a bunch of canada geese come into his back yard every year. he lives in 212, in the calgary city limits. Can he legally hunt them ?

scenario 2:
The same guy also happens to have a lake/pond adjacent to his backyard. The geese and ducks are on the water a lot and fly in and out. Can he legally hunt them? The lake is owned by the community, not by the guy.

The guy would have the right hunting licenses of course, hunt in season, according to bag limits etc. But he would use archery.

Thoughts?

thanks for your insights and cheers!

I would assume no.
Bows aren't allowed to be shot in 99.9% of cities.
Check out the weapon bylaws. Should give you a definitive answer.

This is what I found....
No person shall shoot an arrow from a bow of any nature, over, across, or along any
portion of a Street, public place, or upon any land owned by The City unless otherwise
authorized pursuant to a bylaw of The City of Calgary, or in the case of a Park, unless
authorized by the Director, Parks or his designate.

Couldn't find anything else pertaining to bows.

Absolutely not!
Provincial laws aside there are town bylaws that super side them.
It's all good until someone sees you and calls the cops!
Then you will wish the idea never entered your mind!

City bylaws state you're not allowed to discharge a firearm or bow/crossbow within city limits.

So, unequivocally NO...
