Gun Stock?

Couple quick questions. I have a very nice Browning A bolt Stainless Stalker 300 wsm. Currently it has a very nice Boyds Stock on it. I also have the original black composite stock. The Boyds stock does not have swivels for a shoulder sling but the comp does. Will putting the old stock on for hunting season throw the scope out? (I will of course take it to the range, just want an idea) both stocks are very similar. How much do you think a gun smith would charge to put swivels on the boyd's stock? or does any one make a sling that does not require swivels.
