Les. Dunsdon Bow String
I have a small Len Dunsdon recurve bow from the 50s or 60s. There is no model indication, just a decal on the belly of the upper limb 'Les. Dunsdon, Brantford, Ont.' and a hand written 'R 5.' on the side of the lower limb under the simple red rubber handle. It is solid fiberglass construction. I would like to string it to see what the draw weight is.
Has anyone ever seen one of these?
Is it a kid's bow, or a trainer of some kind?
Measuring from nock groove to nock groove along the belly is 49" which I think is the AMO, which would mean a 45" string. Sound right?
How does the number of strings designation usually work? I doubt this bow would be more than 40 lbs draw weight. Would this mean a bow string with 12 strands?
