Grief counselors were brought in after a disturbing incident at a Calgary gun range.
It happened Wednesday afternoon at The Shooting Edge.
A first-time patron to the range committed suicide.
A range officer was giving a safety briefing when the man turned a gun on himself.
Employees say the man showed no outward signs of emotional distress.
Ten people witnessed the shooting including two children who were with their father.
Crisis counselors were called in to help members of the public and employees.
"They're obviously very traumatized by this. [Our employees] take their jobs very, very seriously and to have someone turn a gun on themselves, well, we're all feeling a little broken over this," says J.R. Cox from The Shooting Edge.
The man had been using a number of different firearms before the shooting occurred.
