Ukraine is taking the war to Russian territory
Significant number of troops have pushed into Russia for the past two days and captured a town and a large number of Russian servicemen.
lol.
Putin calls it a serious provocation. lol. Said troops are shooting in the town.
Like then what is Putin doing called in Ukraine. Oh ya. A special military operation.
Ukraine should call it the same thing.

Curious how far this incursion will go.

This was a small scale incursion that got big results
Russia declares state of emergency in Kursk region.
Besides the obvious message this sends to Putin and the people of Russia, this feint may serve to draw some Russian troops away from the front lines in Ukraine. It has been static for too long.
Might shake things up enough to retake Donetsk.

Sounds like more troops than the previous incursions, have Bradleys there, so that would be UAF and possibly the RU Freedom group. Not real sure what they are trying to achieve other than clear a buffer zone around Kharkiv. Would have maybe made more sense to run to Belgorod and/or Kursk and shoot up a few things up and come back, or go in and turn south to hit the northern RU groups in tha back. Some talk of them being at the main stn of a westbound pipeline that runs to Hungary and etc, protecting/stealing something or trying to get RU to blow it up? Taking down some more KA52's and other equipt is always a good thing. Whatever is going on, Darth Putin remains a master strategist.

I don’t know why no one see’s it.
This is probably not going to end well for Ukraine. It is a losing battle for them no matter how many arms are shipped their way. When they run out of men that’s it.
The average age of the military there now is 45.

So what happens here when Trump wins next election? Will America really just drop out?
Remember when this war started everyone on Facebook outraged and supported Ukraine. Now nobody mentions it. ITS seems like everyone forgot or doesn't care anymore?

Problem has been hesitancy.
US imposed harsh conditions on use of weapons. Weapons were delayed and new better weapons that could make a difference were slowly approved.
Had the US and NATO just gone full bore at the onset it would of helped.
Ukraine isn’t following US tactical warfare strategy approval it appears now. The one pundit says they can take Russia territory and build a bridgehead… politically Russia would need to negotiate peace and Ukraine would be in a better negotiating position. Been a long time since Russia was in a war and lost their own territory and had their own citizens flee an advancing army… that has advanced far further and far faster than Russias early attack on Kiev.
Will be curious to see how far they go and how the fortify or if they are going to sweep around and catch Russian troops from the rear in another part of the front helping another break through.
Russia appears to have a huge front line to protect now and not enough troops.
The strategy is intriguing from an onlooker when in reality there is death and destruction happening daily.

I think the fact they say they didn't inform NATO or the US about it, says a lot about it. Apparently they know full well they can't trust their "allies" when it comes to security, and apparently, there is a lot of promised equipt and hdwe that hasn't been del'd yet. May well be some deliveries that have not been announced, but, word does get around on that stuff after the fact, and it hasn't so far, as various units are still having to do their own fundraising to get equipt they need to operate with.
Hard to say for a while yet, as to what they want to accomplish with this offensive, Russians don't seem to know their butts from their heads at the moment, Ukes are saying near to nothing about it. Numbers of troops deployed in the area are something of a mystery, there are some areas to the south where they could probably use the reinforcements instead, but, also at this point, this'll act as a morale booster politically, at least temporarily, and perhaps draw off some of the heat south of there. Biggest propaganda boost, is they gained and occupied more turf in two days, than the Russians did in 8-9 months. Talk of them being 20km in this AM. Brigade size group or two turning south, running along the RU side of the border for a couple of days, could be a huge problem for RU morale.

Putin's counting on a
Trump win followed by the total withdrawing of US aid.The US rarely has an exit plan or stomach for protracted warfare.

From what I'm seeing on Telegram, this is basically a terror raid -- Chechen-style -- by about 2000 Ukrainian personnel.
Totally in character with Ukrainian nationalism (see Bandera, Shukeyvych et al.), they are indiscriminately killing civilians and taking hostages to secure some sort of ransom for more bargaining power in "negotiations".
Supposedly, Ukraine has taken 110,000 casualties since June as the Russians take territory everywhere along the front line, so this seems like a last, desperate gasp by a fake country destined for the dustbin.
Whether the victims are Poles, Jews, or Belarusians, Ukrainian nationalism's only talent has only ever been killing innocent people.

So Russians invading a country, murdering civilians and military personal, raping anything that has a pulse, destroying anything they can't steal is fine as long as it's done by Russians??? If on the other hand those same people fight back it's somehow an atrocity??? Really?? Comrade it seems like you've fallen for the Putins propaganda hook, line and sinker.......

My goodness that last line is almost a direct quote from Justin Trudeau.
We shouldn’t be waisting our money on foreign wars and focus on our own economy and maybe spend some on our own military ( What is left of it).

All of the fighting in Ukraine is occurring in pro-Russian areas and only the Ukrainians have used civilians as human shields.
About 11000 civilians have been killed and 21000 injured, according to the UN.
More than 30000 men were killed in the fighting for Bakhmut -- a single city.
The military-to-civilian casualty ratio in this conflict is astonishingly high, likely well above 10:1. It is a very clean war, in that sense (unlike Gaza).
Ukraine can't win on the battlefield, so it is reduced to terrorizing innocent people.
The "Bucha massacre" was fake. Ukraine got caught red-handed killing civilians at Kramatorsk. The "Ghost of Kiev" was fake -- Ukrainian high command even admitted as much. Granny using a jar of pickles to down a drone -- fake again.
Believing whatever the Ukrainian side says at this point is a touchstone of intelligence. Both sides lie -- but considering that Ukraine is a fake country, falsehood is its stock-in-trade.

The crap being spewed here is incredible. Anyone that utilizes UN figures to support his argument has already lost the argument. UN is a criminal organization that is bought and paid for by corrupt governments.

Ukraine should be like Israel when neighbors invade them; push deep into Russia & keep what they conquer. Take all of Crimea back plus a 150+km deep consolation prize & buffer zone along the whole border. Is there a large river they can push to? (Looks like there is, push to the Don River & 'annex' it)

First of all I want to make it clear that I don’t support either side for a different reasons. But do you actually realize that up to today Russia have only being using guns for hire as a foot soldiers in Ukraine? The vast majority of those came from the ****holes you have never even heard about! They are as good as soldiers as a bullets made out of poop…

Well fine Sir, I'll try to walk the line on this one. Clearly you have a horse in this race, and it isn't a Ukrainian horse. But to say Ukraine isn't a country puts you too far outside the realm. As far as purported fake facts, you & I will truly only know enough to get us headed down the wrong rabbit hole. Cheers!

Is there a way to get this stopped?
Ukraine won't give up and neither will Russia. It is just killing more young soldierd and bystanders.
What will work to get this stopped?

Yes there is. Tell Zelenskyy that he is not getting any more money. That’s it!
Tell Putin that NATO is not coming to Ukraine. That if he wants his oligarchs to be able to travel again and get back their yachts and houses around the world- they need to get out of Ukraine and stop the war. If not - it’s time to start deporting their wives and kids back to Russia from USA, FRANCE, SPAIN and other countries.

Some interesting threads developing, UAF taking some high ground areas that thwart transport and supply to the south somewhat, they have quite a bunch of personnel in there, probably 2 brigades minimum, and have taken out a couple of good sized RU reinforcement columns already. RU is arresting citizens for taking vid/pics of aftermath and publishing them on Telegram. citizens have no clue what is going on and are somewhat irritated with Vlad not protecting them. Politically, it has shades of the Tet offensive effects in my mind. Nobody really has a clue what the objectives are, but, they used drones for air cover, took AA equipt in with them, and are doing about what was expected in last year's summer offensive, as the are isn't mined, and are conducting their own minng ops, seems as though they caught Vlad with his pants down. Guess if Vlad wants to negotiate for territory, they may have something to offer him now, temporarily or not, who knows at this point.

I’m just glad Ukraine had enough money to get to the Olympics, been looking like they couldn’t afford a box of 7.62 rounds a few times.

Apparently they've grabbed up some ammo dumps in there, may have to sort some of that NK and Chinese ammo though, it's been shown to be a bit dangerous for the RU to use at times.
Ru apparently has skewed priorities at the moment;

Apparently the area was protected by conscripts. Conscripts with wealth family so they weren’t sent to the front.
These kids will be a huge trading commodity to get Ukraine soldiers home in a prisoner swap. At the same time the Russian prisoners are going to get slammed at home for giving up and surrendering so quickly.
