Browning Citori model?

I have a Browning Citori over/under shotgun. I would like to know what model it is, but can’t seem to find what I’m looking for. The serial number is #11521RP153. Would anyone be able to tell me the model from that? Thank you very much for your help!

If you go the Browning, they may be able to tell you exactly the info you want based on the SN, but there is nothing I know of that is published that will do that. There should be a 3 digit model code on the tang under the lever but if that is missing, don't know. Model is based on barrel length, Stock style, Rib configuration, gauge, etc. Post a couple of good pictures and the full description and guys will be albe to help.

Model is 153 which only designates 12 gauge 3 inch chamber. Likely grade 1 field. Two letters is yesr of manufacture and 3 number suffix is model

You are correct that 153 is the 12 Gauge Hunting, and it is a Grade 1, basic model. However, the rest of the configuration from the factory doesn't show up in that info as far as I am aware, or do you know a way to tell chokes, removable or fixed, barrel length etc from the SN? Would love to know. Thanks.

I have the same shotgun . Yours seems to have been built in 1989 correct that to 1978 The guns made in the 80s were just Citori . No model number attached to them yet like 725 etc .
To find what fixed chokes you have ,break open the action and it will be marked at on the left side of the barrels just above and below the ejectors .
* means full choke ** means modified choke etc.
If you have screwed in chokes they are marked on the end of the chokes with little groves 1 Grove -Full
2 groves modified etc
If you have a grade 1 you should have some fancy designs on the sides of receiver
If its not a grade 1 it will just be a black receiver with no designs .
I gather a high grade will have some birds engraved .
The wording special steel might be on your barrel . This does not mean you can use steel shot . Stay away from that .

RP is year of manufacturers, which is 78. The invector screw in chokes were first introduced in some models in 1983, so the chokes will be fixed.

Hi, do you have any idea what it might be worth. It’s in great condition, and I’m thinking of maybe selling it. Thanks again for all the info.
