Grazon would probably be your best bet. I sprayed the lawn this year with Trillium and the dandelions are already coming back.

Good timing; an old farmer told me to go out after the full moon in August and whack their heads off with a stick- the entire plant will die. Give it a try and let us know if it works.

I have had good luck using Curtail M. There is some residual activity the following year.

Curtail M is mcpa mixed with lontrel. Great broad spectrum for lawns (and not as pricey as a jug of straight Lontrel)

I don't know if true but I've heard the full moon thing as well.
I don't think thistle likes to be mowed. You never see it in a field that gets hayed regular. Only in pastures or range that doesn't get mowed.

This does work, but it works better if you cut the heads off/stocks in half right before it rains. Or cut the heads/stalks off and fill the stem with water manually.

I am not sure how much the moon plays into it more than the time of year though.

Where can I buy them? We had to go to Airdrie for par 3. If I need to mix 2 different kinds. What is the formula? Thanks for the help.

Ufa has the good stuff. I think if you can prove you own a quarter section you can buy Chem or strong chem
