Default Homemade scent killer question

Hi!

I've been looking for recipes to make some scent killer. All those I found include peroxide and as far as I know peroxide turns into water and oxygen when exposed to light.

So this brings a few question for those who have made such mixture:
-can light go through your bottle?
-What do you think the shelf/life time of your mix might be?

Try just snapping off a branch from a spruce tree and throwing it in with your hunting gear in a Rubbermaid bin. You will smell just like a tree. Just try it

Are you trying to fool the nose of an animal that makes it's living with it's nose?

Ever seen a drug sniffing dog find contraband in a drum of diesel? He does it for a treat.

To fool an animal that makes it's living with it's nose? No.... I don't think I can do that. But if I can help my chances a tiny little bit here an there well why not.

I wish you luck with that, but personally I think scent control stinks.

I have had coyotes and wolves come from downwind of me to within 3 feet, in the case of coyotes. On the other hand I've had a coyote 'bust' me at 300+ yards when he hit my scent cone.

If it works for you, by all means go for it.
