Default 2024 Harvest Thread

Hey Fellow Outdoorsmen,

I am a little late in putting up this thread this year, considering the Northern/West and Antelope seasons are already open... but I always appreciate Lefty’s harvest thread (definitely one of my favorites each year). General season opening up later this week in the south zones so hope to see some great animals posted again this year.

Not everyone wants to start their own thread, so please post up a picture of your success (doesn’t just have to be antlered, any harvest is great!) from this season. Please keep the comments positive.

Good luck to all.

DR

To start the picture sharing.. I was able to get down to the southeast part of the province to chase some Pheasants with the dog this past week. Always love this time of year!!

A Royal, right? That is a massive bull DS. Good for you tracking down such bull and on public. Would love to know what he might score, just cause. WOW!

Man what an elk!

I can't wait to see the big whitetails show up.

Dirtshooter, excellent bull elk well deserved. I like picture of deep ravine you are hauling him out, that is real elk country.

I wish it was a shoulder mount but with the cape and antlers in my pack I could not get my pack on my back. He's going euro which will look nice as well. There was a good chance he'd become a euro anyway if I tried my hand at skinning out the skull in the bush. Simply never done it before

My dad was able to get his first bull in probably 15 years on opening day. It was a pretty special hunting camp shared with my dad and my nephew (his grandson) and a few close friends.
