Default The Dick284, 2024 hunting thread

I’ve run out of cheesy “Blind” catch phrases, so this will be it.

Standby!

Got behind on updates, because there wasn’t much to update. I took Saturday off to prep for my trip north, the son in law sat the blind Saturday morning, and only had a doe and 2 fawns go by in the am, he’s been going flat out with work, side jobs and a new house so he banged off home in the early afternoon to get some rest. He sat Sunday morning and saw nothing, and then the Pitboss and his girlfriend sat last night, and I had zero communications from them, so I’m not hopeful much came from their sit.

I travelled yesterday.

I’m now up north, with Rugersingle at a good buddies place, my buddy and I went and sat in his truck watching his uncles field last night, we had 27 deer(3 small bucks) feed all around us, but the hellacious winds un doubtably effected deer behaviour last night. Today Rugersingle and I will nestle into the 6x6 blind at my buddies alfalfa field and see what develops……. My buddy had cell cam issues, which I rectified yesterday so we’ve been 3 weeks with no pictures.

Rugersingle and I made to the blind, 40 mins before legal light.

Things were very quiet to start then deer started drifting from the south thru the alfalfa towards the bush. We were blessed with 15 whitetail does, 2 tiny bucks, a cow and calf moose and 2 mule deer way over to the east.

Weather sure is weird this year...doesn't look like we are going to get much snow in the bush at all!

At 10:30 it has begun snowing….. so looks to be more atypical weather wise.

The evening sit had a dozen does and fawns, plus a 3x3 and a spike, plus a half dozen mule does.

Cmon, Mr. Wonderful, all these girls need to be tended too…….
