Hello,

I was planning on visiting a wild meat processor this season but then I thought it would be handy to know how to do it myself should the need arise. Does anyone know of a good place in the Edmonton area that sells freezer/butcher paper?

If you get a food saver you will be much happier. No freezer burn and meat last longer. It's a bit more money but worth it.

You can find butcher paper at Sobeys.

Get the real good paper at CTR or Butchers and Packers. They both sell all the butchering stuff you need.
I wrap all my meat with plastic wrap then butcher paper, almost as good as vacumn sealing and way cheaper. PM me if you would like more info. I have been doing my own processing for about 10 years, I don't pay a cent to the butcher shops.

I get some of my stuff from Halfords. they sell everything. Cabela's has a large assortment of butchering supplies as well, and they have stuff on sale quite often
