Default Future Power Prices in Alberta - 2035 and On

Interesting article from EnMax on the 2035 date put forward by the Liberals as being to aggressive and resulting in potential brown outs as well as significant power increases in Alberta

From the article

"Our analysis is that Alberta will have upwards of 1,600 hours in 2038 of supply shortfall, which will result in brownouts somewhere in the province,” the utility wrote.

Enmax noted its own modelling suggests Alberta wholesale power prices will be in the $500 per megawatt-hour (MWh) range in 2035 under the CER, climbing to $700 three years later “due to the limited run time allowed for fossil-fired units and the premature retirement of existing gas units.”

We're being led down the garden path by the Liberals and their ilk , the end is obvious to any intelligent person and not just the power issue either.

Default Don't forget who put you here

The Enmax article puts in writing what folks have been saying for years despite several sets of deaf ears.

I get it...mortgages are climbing, basics are unaffordable, comfortable retirement is a dream, taxes are killing honest working folks, the signs are hard to miss

The pain is pretty much universal and the real crime would be letting the folks who put us there off the hook for free (with comfy pensions paid by us). All of this circus rests at the feet of the federal liberals and with them alone. The dippers who kept them in place deserve a footnote in the outcome.

Most Canadians are hurting, the west moreso.

Running these imbeciles out will be a glorious day, reversing/cancelling the idiotic commitments will feel sooo good. Turning up the heat at every turn should be our mandate in the interim.

They have made our lives uncomfortable, it's time to return the favour
