i'm looking at a new gps as well... gps central is one of the best places to get one. they may be a few dollars more but you can't beat their service.

look at the oregon series. the 450 is an awesome unit...

the etex 30 has the 3d compass and built in altimeter, great unit.

good luck.

Default Rhino 655

Awesome unit, radio, camera, text capabilities between Rhino's throw backroads maps on there and you are set. Fun for geocaching with the kids too.

go with the Garmin 62 or 62s or 62st
they have an external antenna
you will never lose signal , plus all the extras
if you run ultimate lithium batteries, and battery saver mode they will last a long time.... i get about 2 days per 2 battery... and im always playing with mine...

Edit....Rhinos are good too, as long as who your hunting with has one too
if you do go with the rhino get the USA model ... its 5 watts instead of 3, I think

Default Dakota 20

I have the Dakota 20 with the back roads map pack on it and I must say I am very impressed and have no problem relying on it!

Ya the rino 600 series are awesome , I have the rino 650 you can't beat it. It tricky getting your hands on a American model though I think eBay might be your best bet. I upgraded from my rino 130 that I had for years now. Dropped the 130 in the lake and still works great

Got the Garmin 62. Good, but I'm still getting used to the screen which is significantly smaller than my old Lowrance.
