I don't think we'll hear about this in the news for at least a year, and that's only if the perps admit to it.
Most wildlife investigations take 1-3 yrs to close.

Given the OP is a long standing member here, and lives in the area, I have no reason to doubt the information given.

I have seen posts on here ( and elsewhere) before,
posted by longvrime members where the news was wrong.
No disrespect intended but until something is verified by credible sources i don't believe anything i see on the internet .
Was it one 8 point, 8 spikes, 8 cows , absolutely nothing else taken, and were arrests actually made?
Who knows ......

If a group of people killed 8 bulls and only took the heads, that’s absolutely disgusting, and it would take a group. Hopefully the OP chimes in with some more details.

Eight bulls at once is a Hell of an achievement.

I wonder how many shots were fired....

it happened in my back yard cat. Everyone local knows about it but no concrete details have been released yet. It’s more than speculation I will assure you. When more details come out myself or someone will post them. I heard rumours today from the Hutterites but I won’t repeat them until we get some solid details. If anyone knows the area northwest of the bluesky colony that is where this is said to have occurred

I didnt want to doubt the first post. But 8 bull elk requires a lot of bullets. A lot of people. And more Importantly a lot of luck and elk.

Can't see how 5 trucks being confiscated and 8 bull elk being given poached hasn't hit the news yet.

I know the area and would love to doubt the story but I definitely believe you in that area. The bulls are grouped up good it’s a possibility.

When I first read this I thought it was 1 eight point bull which is terrible in itself but if they did this to eight bulls is beyond belief.

Well my last elk I killed with 1 bullet so I guess I’d need to reload at least once in order to kill 8…. Of course if you lucked out with a couple pass throughs you might be able to get it done without having to reload.

The OP has said 5 trucks were seized.
You can pack a lot of people with guns into 5 trucks.

And yet there’s been no link to anything that said 5 trucks were seized

Doubt if there will be for a while.
Small town area. Locals will know all about it long before the general public

I heard 5 vehicles but it sounds like it was 3. The number of elk could change as well so let’s not get all ****y at me if it does. I won’t post any other speculations until we have some solid facts. My apologies

This is what another local sent me via text.

Ya. I’ve been hearing lots about it today. Sounds like fish cops impounded 3 vehicles today in connection with it. Haven’t heard who it is yet though.
