Default .264 Win Mag and 7828

My son just bought a .264 WM, he’s thinking bullets from 130-142 grain.
I’m fairly flush with IMR 7828,.

Is this a workable combination or am I sending him out to look for unicorn powders?

Imr7828 is about ideal for the 264winmag case necked up to .284" , so it should be a good fit in the 264winmag.

I’d use it. I’m getting to a point where I’m in burn mode rather than buy mode. If I have something that will work well I’m using it. 7828 should work well.

Loaded a bunch for the 264 WM 140gr back years ago, Never tried IMR7828 but loaded IMR4831 and IMR4350 and both worked well, no reason 7828 won't work, your correct in that these day's we use what we have on hand rather than buying something we don't have.

My brother has been using IMR 7828 in his 264 WM. It works good using both 130gr and 140gr bullets.
