Anybody have any real world experience, or comments about the new ( 2024) Swarovski 8x56 SLC WB Binoculars? I have a set of 8x56 SLC that I bought in 2001 with the swarovision coating on lenses. I realize the 15x56 would be much heavier than my 8x56, etc. Just wondering if anyone has used them freehand viewing, or mounted on tripod, etc. Any insight, or comments would be helpful!

You are talking two really different new sets, 8x56 and 15x56. Unless you are 20 years old and in great shape you aren't going to be freehanding any 15 power bino. My Leica Duovids are selectable for 8 or 12 powerx50. When I select 12 power I need a steady rest if I want to look for more than a quick minute or so. Any Bino with fixed 15 power is going to need a tripod.
MY main idea was to mount these upon a tripod, as thought this might be an issue!
The 15x56 weigh point .9 ounces less, than my 8x56 but almost double the magnification, i'm guessing with more length, and more magnification this would cause "shaking"
